Gas Applications and Safety

The team of Gas Applications and Safety is eager to work together with you on sustainable solutions. We develop, test and demonstrate gas fired appliances and other energy technologies for a sustainable society. We work for manufacturers of energy systems, (heating appliances, heat pumps, micro CHP, fuel cells), automobiles (H2, CNG, LNG and LPG systems & components), domestic and industrial appliances (burners, industrial kitchen appliances) and for gas and energy companies (biogas systems, electrolysis systems, methanation, feed-in of hydrogen in natural gas networks). We are equipped with excellent laboratory facilities and are internationally oriented.

We are the expert centre for gas safety issues in The Netherlands, contributing to the safe and efficient application of gas in households as well as in the industry. We deliver services such as: gas incident and accident investigations, advice covering the chain from the gas meter to the flue gas system, advice regarding combustion spaces below ground level and consultancy on gas installations: from risk and vitality assessments to support during practical execution.

Our staff has extensive experience with training and certifying personnel of gas distribution companies, installation and inspection companies.
